DizgeKlinik

Hollywood Smile

Hollywood Smile is a complete smile transformation that redesigns every tooth visible when you smile — usually 16 to 20 teeth across both jaws — under a single aesthetic plan. At DizgeKlinik we build this transformation by combining laminate veneers, zirconia crowns, whitening and gum aesthetics in proportions tailored to you; the goal is never one generic shade of white, but a naturally radiant smile that belongs to your face.

What Is a Hollywood Smile?

A Hollywood Smile is a holistic aesthetic approach that treats the smile as a whole rather than tooth by tooth. All teeth visible when you smile — in most patients 16 to 20 teeth across the front and premolar zones of both jaws — are designed together for shade, shape, length and alignment. Colour or form mismatches, almost inevitable with piecemeal fillings and crowns, are eliminated from the start.

Although the name comes from Hollywood, the modern version aims for healthy, natural harmony with your facial features rather than an on-camera glare. Gum levels, lip line, skin tone and face shape are all part of the design — which is why the same treatment produces a different result in every patient.

Will It Look Natural or Fake?

The most common worry about a Hollywood Smile is ending up with a flat, uniform 'denture-white' look. The concern is not unfounded; what bad examples share is an extreme shade chosen with no reference to the face, and the same template applied to everyone. In a properly planned transformation the shade is matched to your skin and eye tones, and natural enamel translucency and surface texture are built into the edges of the teeth.

At DizgeKlinik the design starts with facial analysis: your lip line, smile width, face shape and age are all reflected in the tooth forms — even the character of the line differs between a feminine and a masculine smile. And because you see and approve the result at the trial stage, the question of looking artificial is answered at the design table, not after treatment.

Which Treatments Are Combined?

A Hollywood Smile is not a single procedure but a package blended to your needs. Laminate veneers, applied to the front teeth with minimal preparation, carry most of the aesthetics; where a tooth is root-treated, heavily worn or needs reinforcement, highly translucent zirconia crowns step in. Teeth that need no restoration at all are brought up to the target shade with professional whitening.

The gums framing your smile are part of the design too: uneven levels or a gummy smile are corrected with the small touches we call pink aesthetics. Where necessary, decay, gum disease and missing teeth are treated first — we do not start aesthetic work without a healthy foundation.

Digital Design and the Trial Smile

The process starts with facial and intraoral photographs, digital scans and video analysis. Your new smile is designed on screen first; tooth length, width proportions and the midline are aligned to your face. The design is then transferred onto your teeth as a temporary mock-up — you experience your new smile in the mirror, talking and laughing, before anything permanent is done.

Any detail you dislike is changed at this stage at no cost; permanent steps begin only after you approve the design. Shade and form are checked again during the fabrication of your veneers and crowns. This staged approval system is your guarantee that the final result holds no surprises.

How Long Does It Take and Who Is It For?

A typical Hollywood Smile is completed in 3–4 visits over 7–14 days, including design and try-ins. The first visit covers analysis and digital design, the second preparation and your temporary smile, and the final visits the try-in and permanent bonding. When whitening or gum contouring joins the plan the schedule is adjusted accordingly; where root canals or implants are needed, the timeline is planned together with you.

Almost any adult with healthy gums, good oral hygiene and an unhappiness with the colour, shape or alignment of their smile is a candidate. Heavy clenching or grinding is not a barrier, but it does influence planning and material choice, and is supported with a night guard where needed. Active gum disease and untreated decay are resolved first — our goal is a result that is healthy and long-lasting, not just beautiful.

Longevity and Aftercare

With proper care, laminate veneers and zirconia crowns typically last 10–15 years, and in many patients considerably longer. Porcelain surfaces do not pick up stain the way natural enamel does, so coffee and tea discolouration is far less of an issue. The main factors behind longevity are daily hygiene, managing any clenching habit and keeping up regular check-ups.

The care routine is no different from natural teeth: brushing twice a day, flossing, and a professional check-up every six months. We do ask you to avoid habits like cracking nuts or biting pens with your teeth. Every smile design patient at DizgeKlinik joins our periodic follow-up programme, so if a small touch-up is ever needed, we catch it early.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we hear most at consultations — answered plainly.

How many days does a Hollywood Smile take?

On average 7–14 days across 3–4 visits, including design, preparation and try-ins. If extras such as whitening, gum contouring or implants join the plan, the schedule is clarified at your first consultation.

Will my teeth be filed down heavily?

No. Laminate veneers require only minimal enamel reduction of around 0.3–0.7 mm, and in suitable cases no-prep work is possible. Teeth that need zirconia crowns require slightly more preparation; we show you clearly at the design stage which method applies to which tooth.

Do I choose the shade — does it have to be bright white?

We choose it together. Based on your skin tone and expectations we offer a range from natural white to brighter shades, and we show the choice on your own teeth at the mock-up stage. A dazzling white result is an option, never an obligation.

Is the treatment painful?

Preparation visits are painless under local anaesthesia; mild sensitivity may follow for a few days. The whole process, including the period with your temporary smile, is planned so that daily life carries on uninterrupted.

Couldn't I get a similar result with whitening alone?

If colour is your only complaint, yes — professional whitening alone may be enough, and we will recommend it first. But whitening cannot fix shape irregularities, gaps, chips or alignment issues; at the consultation we build the plan that achieves the best result with the least intervention.

How long does a Hollywood Smile last — will it need redoing?

With proper care, laminate and zirconia restorations last 10–15 years on average — often longer in patients with good hygiene. If a single piece ever needs replacing over the years, we renew only that tooth, not the whole smile.
